Mountain View High seeks lacrosse coach

Mountain View High needs a frosh-soph boys lacrosse coach for this season, which is just underway. If interested, call varsity coach Bill Kurz at (408) 742-0214.

Players welcome to join spring AYSO

Registration is open for Los Altos-based AYSO Region 43’s spring soccer season for boys and girls ages 5-8. The weekly sessions, scheduled Sunday afternoons now through early May, include a combination of scrimmages and drills. Students from Santa Rita, Covington, Almond, Gardner Bullis, Bullis Charter, Pinewood and St. Nicholas schools usually play in Region 43. To register and for more information, visit ayso43.org.

Wellness run/walk set for Saturday

The seventh annual Girls to Women Margaret Geis Wright Wellness 5K Run/Walk is scheduled Saturday at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. Billed as a community-building event, it supports the nonprofit Girls to Women, a grassroots organization that serves upward of 60 girls a year with intensive, individualized school-year and summer enrichment programs. Registration is $10-$40 (depending on age and residency), free for ages 5 and under. MVHS Sports Boosters host golf tournament

The Mountain View High School Sports Boosters are hosting a golf tournament fund- raiser scheduled noon Saturday at Shoreline Golf Links in Mountain View. Registration runs 11-11:45 a.m. A $200 donation includes lunch, three beverages, snacks, an event golf shirt and hat, and prizes. Proceeds go toward improving the school’s athletic trainer capabilities. To register, visit mvhssportsboosters.org.
