Eagles go undefeated in JV girls basketball

The Los Altos High junior-varsity girls basketball team completed an undefeated season with a 41-35 win over Lynbrook Feb. 16. The Eagles went 12-0 in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division and 23-0 overall.

Tennis classes start this month in MV

Mountain View Tennis’ spring recreation classes are just underway at Cuesta, Rengstorff, Whisman and Cooper parks. Sessions are offered in the day and at night for all ages and skill levels. Fees vary by class. To register and for more information, call 967-5955 or visit mountainviewtennis. net.

Wellness run/walk set for March 10 in MV

The seventh annual Girls to Women Margaret Geis Wright Wellness 5K Run/Walk is scheduled March 10 at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. Billed as a community-building event, it supports the nonprofit Girls to Women, a grassroots organization that serves upwards of 60 girls a year with intensive, individualized school-year and summer enrichment programs. Registration is $10-$40 (depending on age and residency), free for ages 5 and under. MVHS Sports Boosters host golf tourney

The Mountain View High School Sports Boosters are hosting a golf tournament fund- raiser scheduled noon March 10 at Shoreline Golf Links in Mountain View. Registration runs 11-11:45 a.m. The $200 donation includes a box lunch, three beverage tickets, 19th-hole snacks, an event golf shirt and hat, and prizes.
