LA grad comes up big for Pomona hoops team

Los Altos High graduate Daniel Rosenbaum posted his third double-double of the season as the Pomona-Pitzer men’s basketball team routed Cal Lutheran 91-55 Jan. 6. The junior guard scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Sagehens’ home win.

MV basketball camp set for next month

Spartans Sports Camp’s Winter Break Basketball camp is scheduled 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 19-23 at Mountain View High, 3535 Truman Ave. Open to boys and girls in grades 3-8, the fast-paced camp focuses on shooting, ball handling and defense. Cost is $65 per day, or $285 for the week. Scholarships are available. Proceeds benefit Mountain View High athletics. Women’s golf group invites new members

City of Mtn. View offers open gym

The Mountain View Recreation Division’s Teen Open Gym, free and open to the city’s middle and high school students, is scheduled 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Whisman Sports Center, 1500 Middlefield Road. The weekly events offer youth a place to play basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer. Participants are required to show their student IDs at the door. For more information, call 903-6331.
