SF runner Skahill lands CCS scholarship
St. Francis High senior Emily Skahill is among the 18 recipients of this year’s Central Coast Section Scholar-Athlete Scholarships. Nominated by their schools and put forth by their leagues for selection, one male and one female from each of the nine leagues in CCS were chosen. Skahill, a standout distance runner, and the other honorees will each receive a $500 scholarship.
Eagle Pool closed until next week
The city of Mountain View reported that its downtown Eagle Pool will be closed through Sunday for annual maintenance. All programs, including lap swim and classes, have moved to Rengstorff Pool, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave., during the closure. For more information, visit mountainview.gov/aquatics.
Mtn. View High offers sports physicals
Mountain View High is offering low-cost athletic physicals for current students who plan to participate in sports during the 2017-18 school year. The physicals are scheduled 6-8 p.m. May 25 at PT Works, 794 Altos Oaks, Los Altos. Cost is $35.
Women’s golf group seeks members

Pathways Run/Walk approaches
The 16th annual Pathways Run/Walk is scheduled 9 a.m. May 13 at Westwind Community Barn, 27210 Altamont Road, Los Altos Hills. Featuring a hilly 5K and 10K run/walk and a 1-mile run, the course includes Byrne Preserve and part of the town’s pathways system. The 5K/10K is scheduled at 9 a.m. and the mile at 10:30 a.m. Registration for the 5K/10K is $50 ($55 on race day) and $40 for groups (10 or more); registration for the mile run is $35 ($40 on race day).
