Several local residents set to participate in Menlo Charity Horse Show this week

The Menlo Charity Horse Show benefiting Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is scheduled to run through Sunday at the Menlo Circus Club, 190 Park Lane, Atherton.

Several people from Los Altos and Los Altos Hills are involved with the 43rd annual show, which opened Tuesday. More than 50 local residents are slated to compete, according to organizers, and Los Altos Hills resident Steve Goldenberg is event co-chairman.

Hunter and jumper competitions are scheduled from sunrise to sunset each day.

More than 40 vendors will be selling their wares, and food and drink will be available throughout the grounds.

Vista Center serves more than 2,500 clients in the Bay Area through its programs promoting independent living and improving quality of life.

Tickets are $10 per day or $35 for the week. Those under 12 or 65 and over are free.
