Pinewood School senior Megan Chou, who as a sophomore verbally agreed to attend Southern Methodist University on a golf scholarship, officially committed to the Mustangs last month by signing a National Letter of Intent.

“Megan has been coming to our summer golf camps for many years and it has been fun to see her game progress,” SMU coach Jeanne Sutherland said in a press release issued by the school. “She has really improved over the past year and a half, and her motivation to compete at the highest level is strong.”

Chou, a Los Altos resident, told the Town Crier last year what led her to choose SMU among the colleges courting her: “I like the campus – it’s small, and that drew me. And the coach is awesome.”
