LAHS baseball team has 2-1 week

The Los Altos High baseball team last week bounced back from its first loss of the season by defeating Leland 4-2 Saturday.

Alex Reelfs pitched a complete game – throwing a no-hitter until the sixth – and struck out nine. Ben Parker drove in two runs in the fourth with a double.

Three days earlier, host Half Moon Bay beat the Eagles 3-0. Los Altos left 10 runners on base.

The day before, the Eagles (3-1) routed host Monta Vista 11-0 “behind great pitching, clutch hitting and fantastic base running,” coach Gabe Stewart said.

Starter Ryan Baum limited the Matadors to one hit over six innings. Zach Fuchs and Aaron Parker each drove in two runs.
