The MVLA Wolves, the local team in the Women’s Premier Soccer League, finished the season with a 5-2-1 record that was good enough for third place in the Pac North Conference.

The Wolves capped their campaign with a 4-0 rout of the visiting Pleasanton Rage June 29.

Los Altos High graduate Albertin Montoya – league coordinator for the Mountain View Los Altos Soccer Club – served as coach of the Wolves, who played their home games at King’s Academy in Sunnyvale.

The team featured several local players, including Los Altos High graduates Margueritte Aozasa, Emily Pye and Hannah Wendelken; Mountain View High grad Natasha Harris; St. Francis High grads Sofia Jones and sisters Annie and Georgia Kingman; St. Francis junior Sarah Paulson; and Pinewood School grad Caleigh Page.
