Fourteen MVLA soccer players commit to colleges

The Mountain View-Los Altos Soccer Club announced last week that 14 of its players have committed to colleges.

Boys and girls from 12 high schools are slated to put pen to paper today, National Letter of Intent signing day.

Three of them are from Mountain View High: Jacob Gitin (Occidental College), Elena Palacios (University of Hawaii) and Bethan Parry (University of San Francisco). Other signees include St. Francis’ Emma Blackburn (Willamette University), Gunn’s Natalie Hill (UC Santa Barbara), Homestead’s Ryan Sato (Willamette), Palo Alto’s Emily Tomz (Pomona College), Mitty’s Paris Fox (Rice University), Fremont’s Erin Kaprelian (Northwest Nazarene University), Sacred Heart Prep’s Mia Shenk (University of Pennsylvania), Mercy-San Francisco’s Sara Bermudez (Brown University), Enoch’s Ryan Curtis (Cal State Sacramento), Global Odyssey Academy’s Raleigh Loughman (University of Michigan) and Design Tech’s Whitney Wisnom (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute).

MVLA’s College Commitment Celebration is slated 7-9 p.m. April 23 at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.
