Spiritual Life Briefs: Prayer Breakfast features inspirational speakers

The 24th annual Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast is scheduled 7-8:30 a.m. Friday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Grand Ballroom, 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara.

Founded by a group of Los Altos residents in 1995, the event features keynote remarks by global business leaders who share personal perspectives about the power of faith and prayer as vital elements in their lives and business.

Attendees come primarily from the technology, medical and educational communities in Silicon Valley. With more than 900 people attending, the breakfast provides an opportunity to connect with friends and spark conversations about faith and life.

This year’s theme is “Investing to Make a Difference.” The keynote speakers are Justin Dillon, founder and CEO of Made In A Free World, and Promod Haque, senior managing partner at Norwest Venture Partners.

Dillon will discuss how his faith has given him a mission to invest in disrupting human trafficking, a $150 billon business worldwide.

Haque, a top global venture capitalist, plans to share how God has led him to make a difference in business, in philanthropy and in his family, and how faith has helped him manage success and overcome personal tragedy.

Tickets are $40.
