LAUMC offers free Thanksgiving dinner
Los Altos United Methodist Church has scheduled a free Thanksgiving dinner 2-5 p.m. Nov. 23 at the church’s Creekside Center, 655 Magdalena Ave.
The menu will include roast turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, honey-baked ham, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie, roasted vegetables, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and ice cream.
Donations will be accepted but are not required.
The deadline for reservations is Nov. 20.

Union Presbyterian hosts healing room
InSpirit, a healing branch of BASIC Living Ministries, offers a Praise & Prayer Healing Room 10 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of every month at Union Presbyterian Church of Los Altos, 858 University Ave.
The next Healing Room is scheduled Saturday.
“If you are battling an illness or injury, or feeling discouraged, there is hope,” said coordinator Laurie Kurgas. “We will pray with you for healing – heart, mind, body, soul – and for you to draw closer to God.”
BASIC Living Ministries is an interdenominational Christian ministry. The InSpirit Healing Room is a member of the International Association of Healing Rooms.
Union Presbyterian offers Kids Club
Union Presbyterian Church of Los Altos offers a Kids Club 10-11 a.m. Sundays under the trees at the church, 858 University Ave.
The club, for children ages 5-11 years, includes Bible stories, games, crafts and snacks.
Parents are welcome to attend. In the event of rain, the group will meet inside the church.
An adult church service will run concurrently.
