FLEX College Prep hosts admissions expo

FLEX College Prep is scheduled to host a college admissions expo 1-3:30 p.m. March 3 at the Community School of Music and Arts, 230 San Antonio Circle, Mountain View.

Speakers will include the founder and CEO of FLEX College Prep and former undergraduate admissions officers from Yale University, USC, UCLA and Santa Clara University. The event will feature a variety of workshops for students, including one on how to write a standout personal essay.

Mentor Tutor Connection sponsors info session

Mentor Tutor Connection has scheduled an open house for potential volunteers 5:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the MVLA District Office, 1299 Bryant Ave., Mountain View.

The nonprofit organization is recruiting volunteers to serve as tutors and mentors in Los Altos and Mountain View schools. All volunteers must be high school graduates.

CSMA debuts exhibition of student, faculty art

The Community School of Music and Arts presents the exhibition “Explore Identity Through Art” 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in February in the Mountain View City Hall Rotunda, 500 Castro St.

The faculty and students of CSMA’s Art4Schools program schools created the collaborative display, which includes 360 pieces of art made by students in grades K-8 and their art teachers from 14 local schools, including Santa Rita School and Springer School.

Mtn. View High seeks STEM fair submissions

The Mountain View High School Science National Honor Society has scheduled its inaugural STEM Fair for Bay Area high school students April 6 in the Mountain View High School large gym, 3535 Truman Ave.

Students can submit their projects at They will present their projects to a panel of judges during the fair. Students may submit any type of project, such as research and investigations they are conducting or a description of a live experiment.
