Nonprofit group seeks laptops for Egan students

Los Altos High School junior Terence Lee seeks donations of functioning laptops (Windows or Mac platform) with appropriate power adapters for students in need at Egan Junior High School.

Lee’s nonprofit organization, EqOpTech, aims to bridge the gap for students who do not have laptops at home.

Each laptop will be refurbished to its full functionality with operating system and removal of all personal data prior to deployment. Disable any password prior to donating.

Donations are tax deductible. A tax receipt will be provided on request.

To donate, drop off at the collection box in the Egan Junior High office, 100 W. Portola Ave., Los Altos.

Blach sponsors annual Holiday Faire

Blach Intermediate School has scheduled its annual Holiday Faire 12:30-4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the school’s multipurpose room, 1120 Covington Road, Los Altos.

The boutique will feature holiday gifts and other handcrafted items made by Blach students. Students will sell holiday decorations, jewelry, candy, food items, candles, toys, scarves and more at more than 90 booths.

A portion of the profits will be donated to the school.
