Freestyle Academy hosts exhibition
The Freestyle Academy of Communication Arts & Technology, an enrichment program of the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District, has scheduled its Freestyle Exhibition 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View.
The exhibition showcases the Best of Semester 1 projects from first- and second-year students in the program. The art exhibition, animation, music videos and websites will be on display 5:30-8:30 p.m., and the best of the Junior Narrative Films and Animations, Senior Music Videos and Profile Films are slated for screening 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Computer History Museum Theater.
The event is free and open to the public.

Parent education event addresses digital literacy
The Mountain View-Los Altos Schools Parent Education Speaker Series has scheduled a discussion on “Parenting in the Age of Social Media” 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Mountain View High School’s Spartan Theater, 3535 Truman Ave.
Speakers Erica Pelavin, LCSW, Ph.D., and Gloria Moskowitz-Sweet PPSC, KCSW, founded My Digital TAT2, which focuses on helping youth develop critical-thinking skills to manage their own privacy, respect the privacy of others and use cyber-sense and ethical decision making in their digital lives.
The interactive presentation provides an overview of the digital landscape through short video clips and discussion.
Admission is free.
The Mountain View-Los Altos High School Foundation, the Los Altos Educational Foundation and the Los Altos-Mountain View PTA Council co-sponsor the event.
