St. Nicholas students corral stuffed animals

St. Nicholas Catholic School kindergartners and fourth-graders recently sponsored a stuffed animal drive, making signs and performing skits at a school assembly to promote their drive.

The students collected more than 320 stuffed animals and small toys at morning drop-off, which they donated to the nonprofit Peace Builders. The organization includes the stuffed animals with its shipments of support items – medical supplies, vitamins, clothing, shoes and other aids – to orphaned and impoverished children around the world, with a focus on war-torn and disaster-stricken regions.
