Los Altos main library displays preschoolers' mural

Courtesy of LAPP
Los Altos Parent Preschool’s mural is on display at the Los Altos main library through the end of April.

A garden mural that students from Los Altos Parent Preschool created to celebrate the school’s 60th anniversary is on display for the month of April at the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.

The mural depicts colorful creatures, flowers and kites. According to school representatives, the artwork captures the spirit of the school, featuring “individuals joyfully expressing themselves and learning in the process.” Each of the preschool’s three classes contributed to the project.

In conjunction with the mural, Los Altos Parent Preschool teachers are scheduled to present a “Springtime in the Garden” storytime for children 18 months to 4 years old 10:30-11 a.m. April 18 at the library.

Los Altos Parent Preschool is a parent participation school for children 2 and half to 5 years old. For more information, visit lapp.coop.

For more information on the storytime, visit sccl.org/losaltos.
