Nonprofit group needs laptops for students

EqOpTech, founded by Los Altos High School junior Terence Lee, seeks donations of functioning laptops (Windows or Mac) with appropriate power adapters for students in need.

Collection drives are ongoing at Blach Intermediate School and Monta Loma Elementary School.

The nonprofit EqOpTech works to connect students with limited technology access to the resources they need to do schoolwork at home.

Volunteers will refurbish each laptop and delete all personal data. Passwords should be disabled prior to donating.

Donations are tax deductible, and a tax receipt will be provided on request.

To donate, drop off at the collection box at Blach, 1120 Covington Road, Los Altos; or Monta Loma, 460 Thompson Ave., Mountain View.
