Mountain View High School student dies by suicide

A Mountain View High School student has died by suicide. The school is providing additional counseling services on a walk-in basis.

A Mountain View High School student died by suicide last night (Oct. 1), the school district has confirmed this afternoon.

At the family’s request, the student’s name is not being released at this time, district spokeswoman Cynthia Greaves said in an email.

Additional counseling services are available for students and teachers on a walk-in basis.

“We are encouraging students to reach out for support,” Greaves said. “We are here to help them.”
