Loyola Corners bank robbed

Los Altos Police are on the lookout for a Caucasian male suspected of robbing a bank near Loyola Corners Wednesday morning (May 29).

According to Los Altos Police Sgt. Cameron Shearer, the suspect entered U.S. Bank at approximately 10:20 a.m. and approached a teller, demanding cash.

The suspect, who was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head and black pants, then placed a paper bag on the counter. He was last seen fleeing the bank, located at 1001 Fremont Ave., with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery.

Shearer said the suspect was in his 20s, had a medium build and stood approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall. Shearer added that police have not confirmed whether the suspect is the same person thought to be responsible for a string of robberies in Los Altos and Mountain View in recent months.
