Misdemeanor warrant arrest
June 14, 5:25 p.m., South Springer Road and Cuesta Drive: Police arrested a 41-year-old man after discovering that he had an outstanding $20,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Mountain View for vending without a permit. Police apprehended the man while he was selling strawberries at the intersection of South Springer Road and Cuesta Drive. He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
Squawking rooster leads to citation
June 15, 9:25 a.m., 1100 block of Los Altos Avenue: Police cited a resident with a pet rooster after a neighbor complained about the bird making too much noise. According to police, the reporting neighbor took the extra step of videotaping the rooster in action for evidence prior to contacting authorities.
June 15, 9:29 a.m., 1900 block of Fallen Leaf Lane: An unknown suspect entered a residential construction site and broke into a storage shed, stealing several tools.
June 16, 7:17 p.m., 900 block of Covington Road: An unknown suspect broke into a residence between 2 and 7 p.m. through an unlocked rear patio door. The burglar ransacked the house, stealing more than $5,000 worth of jewelry.
Grand theft bicycle
June 15, 2:42 p.m., 300 block of State Street: Police reported that an unknown suspect stole an unlocked Specialized brand bicycle parked at Peet’s Coffee & Tea. The bicycle was valued at approximately $6,000.
