Malfunctioning bank alarm
April 3, 8:15 a.m., 300 block of South San Antonio Road: Police officers responded to a malfunctioning “holdup” bank alarm and searched the area near San Antonio Road and Lyell Street.
April 4, 12:35 p.m., 4300 block of El Camino Real: An unknown suspect stole a computer from the business center of the Courtyard Marriott hotel overnight. The computer was valued at $2,500.
April 4, 2:08 p.m., 400 block of Cecelia Way: An unknown suspect smashed the rear sliding glass door of a residence and stole an iPad and jewelry.
April 5, 8:05 a.m., 600 block of Arboleda Drive: A resident’s unlocked 2000 Volkswagen Passat was stolen. According to police, the victim said the car might have contained a set of valet keys at the time of the theft.
April 6, 1:11 a.m., West El Camino Real and El Monte Avenue: A 49-year-old male motorist was arrested for driving under the influence during a police traffic stop. The driver was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
April 6, 3:23 p.m., Pine Lane and Los Altos Avenue: A 74-year-old male Los Altos resident was arrested for driving under the influence. A nearby resident contacted authorities, notifying them that the motorist had driven his car onto a sidewalk and appeared to have fainted behind the wheel. However, on arrival, officers found the motorist conscious.
