El Camino Hospital last week reached a tentative agreement with the Professional Resource for Nurses (PRN) on a new three-year contract for its registered nurses.
According to hospital officials, PRN members are set to ratify the contract Thursday. The hospital’s board of directors is slated to vote on the agreement at its April 10 meeting.
“We thank the PRN for being a good, collaborative partner in the development of this three-year contract,” said hospital CEO Tomi Ryba. “Our nurses are the backbone of our organization, and we value the contribution they make as we move forward to meet the triple aim of quality, service and accountability.”
Reached by the Town Crier, hospital spokeswoman Chris Ernst characterized the negotiations as friendly, adding that details on the contract would be released to the public in the near future.
