Alma Dorothy Intoschi Angelini Canderle

Alma Dorothy Intoschi Angelini Canderle, 93, of Los Altos died May 9, 2011. She was born to Achille and Domenica Intoschi on March 10, 1918. She was raised and schooled in Half Moon Bay. She was married to Raymond Joseph Angelini in 1939. She spent two years in New York City as a military wife. She and Ray settled in Los Altos and owned Foodliner Grocery and Ray’s Fish and Poultry, both located in Los Altos. She was a loving mother of two. Raymond passed in 1971. In 1992 she married Gino Canderle. She was active as a volunteer in several organizations through the years, including the St. Williams’ Lunch Bunch, Branch 186 of the Italian Catholic Federation and Villa Siena.
Alma will be dearly missed by her large family. In addition to her parents, she joins her siblings Cerubina, Gaspar, Italo, Lillian, Dante, Louie, husband Raymond, and daughter Maureen in heaven. She is survived by many friends and family including her younger sister Norma, daughter Raydeen, husband Gino, son in law Bill, four grandchildren Tera, James, Gina, Tamra, two great-grandchildren Lila and Zade, and four step grandchildren.
Rosary and visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19th at Cusimano’s Colonial Funeral Home, 96 W El Camino Real in Mt. View. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20th, at St. William Catholic Church, 611 S El Monte Ave in Los Altos, with reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
Memorial donations may be made in Alma’s memory to The Italian Catholic Federation, Gifts of Love or Villa Siena Foundation.
