Fund established for Bridgman after motorcycle accident: Donations for rehabilitation therapies

On Feb. 20, 32-year-old Los Altos native Chris Bridgman suffered spinal injuries in a dirt-biking accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. After several surgeries, Bridgman, the son of local realtor Kathy Bridgman, returned to his Mountain View home with his wife, Jennifer, who later gave birth to son, Christopher.

“Chris continues to make strides toward recovery, but the path we are on is long,” Jennifer wrote in an e-mail. “There are no roadmaps for us to follow, as each case of spinal-cord injury is unique.”

The Bridgmans’ journey will be presented in more detail in the May 19 edition of the Los Altos Town Crier.

A “We Believe in Chris” fund has been established at Borel Private Bank & Trust Co. to help finance rehabilitation therapies Chris will need in the future.

“The ‘We Believe in Chris Fund’ will help our family immeasurably, and we are so grateful,” Jennifer said.

Make checks payable to Chris Bridgman or “We Believe in Chris Fund” and mail directly to Borel Private Bank & Trust, 345 S. San Antonio Road, Los Altos 94022.
