Suspects in custody for slew of Los Altos weekend car break-ins

Two suspects were arrested for burglary in connection with several vehicle break-ins in Los Altos over the weekend, the Los Altos Police Department announced in a press release Monday (July 27).

Keyshaun Anderson and Jarvis Lewis – neither of whom is a Los Altos resident – were arrested on felony charges of both burglary and attempted burglary. Anderson is from Vacaville and Lewis is a Vallejo resident.

According to police, officers responded Saturday to reports of multiple vehicle burglaries in south Los Altos. The police log indicates eight different burglaries were called in between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. Police used video evidence to identify the two suspects and their vehicle. Sunday morning, after similar vehicle burglaries took place in Sunnyvale, officers apprehended the suspects approximately an hour later on Interstate 680 in Fremont.
