After 24 years of service, Mountain View City Attorney Jannie Quinn plans to retire, effective Aug. 2.
In a letter to the city council, Quinn traced her journey with the city, beginning as senior deputy attorney in 1995 to her appointment as Mountain View’s first female city attorney in 2010.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the city attorney and work on issues for the benefit of the Mountain View community,” Quinn said. “I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with such a dedicated city council and talented city staff over the years to solve problems and make a differnce.”
The council was scheduled to hold a closed session Tuesday, after the Town Crier’s deadline, to discuss the process for replacing Quinn.
