Church helps victims of human trafficking

Union Presbyterian Church of Los Altos is collecting care items for child victims of human trafficking.

The church has partnered with 3Strands Global Foundation of El Dorado Hills to solicit items for the nonprofit organization’s GracePaks, backpacks filled with essential goods needed by young victims of human trafficking. Items include elastic-waist pajamas, blankets, socks, hairbrushes, travel-sized toiletries and journals.

3Strands Global Foundation combats human trafficking in the U.S., Nepal and Cambodia.

Drop off items in the labeled barrel outside the Union Presbyterian Church office, located at 858 University Ave. The collection runs through October.

For a complete list of desired goods, visit grace-paks.
