New Los Altos mayor faces heat from state senator for housing bill comments

District 9 State Sen. Nancy Skinner used the social media platform Twitter to “fact check” Los Altos Mayor Lynette Lee Eng, who last week said a bill Skinner helped draft forces small cities to become urban centers comparable to New York City’s Manhattan borough.

LA council passes Altos One development as stakeholders reflect on state of housing

The Los Altos City Council last week approved plans for Altos One, a 52-unit condo complex set for construction at 4846/4856 El Camino Real. In exchange for a greater number of units, the developers are offering 10 at below market rates.
