Police arrest suspects in April 1 burglaries

Los Altos Police Department officers arrested three San Jose residents April 1 in connection with two residential burglaries that occurred that morning in Los Altos and Mountain View.

According to Los Altos police, 19-year-old Sammuel Arenas and two 17-year-old male minors were traveling in a white BMW sedan with no plates at approximately 10:35 a.m. when an officer pulled them over to conduct a vehicle enforcement stop near the intersection of St. Charles Court and St. Matthew Way.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed stolen property from a home on the 100 block of South Clark Avenue in Los Altos and a residence on the 100 block of Waverly Place in Mountain View, police reported.

The suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of felony charges of burglary and stolen property.
