MV Police search for hit-and-run driver

The Mountain View Police Department seeks the public’s help in identifying a suspect who hit a pedestrian with his or her car the night of Dec. 13 but fled the scene before police arrived.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Mountain View police and fire personnel responded to a call of a car-versus-pedestrian collision in the area of Bryant Avenue and Shady Spring Lane.

When police arrived, they found a 52-year-old man lying in the roadway suffering from serious injuries.

During the preliminary investigation, officers learned that the victim might have been running in the area when he was hit by the vehicle. The driver left the scene.
