A house fire in south Los Altos last week displaced the occupant, but no one was injured in the blaze.
Twenty-five Santa Clara County Fire Department firefighters responded to the home, located on the 10000 block of Creston Drive, at 5:35 a.m. Jan. 31, according to a department press release. They could see smoke and flames emanating from the home and discovered the source in the living room, where the flames extended to the adjacent garage.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 5:50 a.m., the release stated. The cause remains under investigation.
Fire and smoke damage forced the home’s occupant to vacate the property, and the American Red Cross is assisting the person, the release reported.
