MVPD searches for shooting suspect

The Mountain View Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who fired gunshots into the air during a recent incident downtown.

No one was injured in the shooting, which occurred at approximately 2 a.m. Nov. 26 near the intersection of Villa and Bryant streets, according to police reports.

Officers heard the shots while responding to a call about a fight near the intersection of Villa and Castro streets, but it is not known whether the fight and the shots were related, police reported.
