June 16, 9:55 a.m., 0-100 block of Angela Drive: An unknown suspect pried open the side door to the garage of a home that was being remodeled. At the time of the police report, the victims were uncertain if any items were stolen from the home.
June 16, 1:44 p.m., 300 block of State Street: A resident called police to report that a group of juveniles skateboarding downtown nearly knocked over an elderly person.
June 23, 3 a.m., El Monte Avenue and Bay Tree Lane: Patrol officers arrested a male motorist during a traffic stop after they determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. A male passenger in the vehicle was also arrested after police discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on traffic violation charges.
June 19, 2:28 p.m., 600 block of Jay Street: A resident contacted police after allegedly receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. The caller in question alleged that the resident’s personal information had been compromised.
June 20, 1:40 p.m., 200 block of Main Street: A female resident called police after discovering that someone stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle and used some of her credit cards to make fraudulent purchases later that day in San Jose. The victim told police that she saw an unknown person in a vehicle driving away from her car – which was parked in the public parking plaza behind the Main Street U.S. Postal Service office – after she returned from running an errand.
