Arson suspected in Mountain View fire
A home on Fordham Way in Mountain View was rendered uninhabitable after a two-alarm fire Sunday morning that investigators believe was intentionally set.
A joint investigation by the Mountain View Fire, Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that the fire was caused by arson and originated inside the home. Officials also believe that the fire may be connected to a light-blue 2003 Audi A4 that was stolen from the residence.
Responders originally arrived at 2:23 a.m. Sunday and found a significant portion of the uninhabited home ablaze. The fire also extended into the attic. No injuries were reported and no surrounding homes were damaged by the fire.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Mountain View Police at 903-6395.
