Shoreline rave nets drug arrests by MV Police
Nearly 100 people were arrested during a weekend rave at Shoreline Amphitheatre, according to Mountain View Police.
Police Sgt. Sean Thompson said that while no serious injuries were reported during the Beyond Wonderland concert, police made approximately 90 arrests throughout the weekend – most of them on drug-related charges. Thompson added that police received more than 100 noise complaints during the two-day period as well.
Sept. 26, 10:56 p.m., 900 block of Fremont Avenue: A female resident was transported to El Camino Hospital with a possible broken arm after tripping and falling on the sidewalk. According to police, the female thought she was being followed by an unknown male, began running and subsequently fell.
Sept. 28, 8:10 p.m., Fremont Avenue and Highway 85: Police arrested a 32-year-old male motorist during a traffic stop for possession of methamphetamine and operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers also discovered that the motorist, a Cupertino resident, was driving on a suspended driver’s license. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
