Juvenile disturbance

Aug. 15, 5:55 p.m., 300 block of Loucks Avenue: Police responded to a family dispute after a 14-year-old girl pushed and hit her mother while arguing. Responding officers mediated the disagreement and no charges were filed.

Residential burglary

Aug. 16, 6:04 p.m., 300 block of Cuesta Drive: A resident contacted police after discovering that someone rummaged through his or her home, stole jewelry and poured cooking oil and vinegar on the floor. Police said the suspect gained access to the home via a sliding glass door located in a side yard.

Dog bite

Aug. 16, 8:23 p.m., 1600 block of Grant Road: A resident was transported to El Camino Hospital for treatment after sustaining a dog bite from a neighbor’s German Shepherd. The victim filed a report with police, who notified animal control about the incident.

DUI arrest

Aug. 17, 2:17 a.m., Shoreline Boulevard and El Camino Real: A 21-year-old male motorist from Patterson was arrested for driving under the influence during a police traffic stop. The suspect was cited and later released from the Los Altos Police Station.
