Minimum wage increases took effect in both Los Altos and Mountain View in the new year.
Based on an ordinance passed in 2016, the new minimum wage in Los Altos is $15.65 an hour, a 25-cent hike from the hourly $15.40 rate last year.
Mountain View’s new minimum wage is $16.30 an hour, up 25 cents from $16.05 an hour last year. A 2016 city ordinance has dictated yearly increases.
