The city of Mountain View hired Lisa Natusch as its new city clerk. She will assume the position March 26.
Natusch replaces former City Clerk Lorrie Brewer, who retired in December. She has 16 years of municipal experience, including nine years as deputy city clerk for the city of Sunnyvale, following three years in the city manager’s office.
As Mountain View city clerk, Natusch will serve as the city’s election official, edit and maintain city code, act as the custodian of the city’s legislative history, administer oaths and affirmations, and execute city contracts and agreements. She also will be responsible for facilitating the conduct of business by the city council and fulfilling legal requirements as set forth in the city charter and state law. Her annual starting salary is $135,000.
Natusch said she was “honored” to be given the opportunity to serve the city of Mountain View.
“Growing up nearby, I’ve had a lifelong connection to the city and appreciation for Mountain View’s values and sense of community,” she said. “I look forward to working with the city council, staff and community, and being part of a team known for its collaboration and innovation.”
