The Foothill-De Anza Foundation and the Community Services Agency are among 27 groups that received United Way Silicon Valley grants totaling $1.65 million.
The foundation and CSA accepted checks for $50,000 each. The grant allocations reflect United Way’s focus on helping families with children become economically secure, able to support their children’s educational success, physically and emotionally healthy and connected to their community, said United Way spokeswoman Caitlin Kerk.
Grants will be renewed for the next two years if goals and performance measures are met.
