The Los Altos School District Board of Trustees did not take action to purchase of 5150 El Camino Real for $39 million as a 10th school site at their Monday (Nov. 14) board meeting.
Board commentary at the meeting listed many characteristics of the site that failed to meet the needs for a school. This had marked the first time district officials have brought forth a proposal in open session to purchase land since its $150 million bond measure passed two years ago.
Approximately 20 community members showed up to Monday's meeting to speak, most were against the purchase of property.
