“Vessels” is on display for the month at Gallery 9 in downtown Los Altos.

Los Altos Hills residents Tom and Marj Green specialize in black-and-white photography. Their online exhibition, “Seeing in Black & White,” is posted on the town’s Digital Art Gallery through the end of September at losaltoshills.ca.gov/digitalgallery.

The Greens said their images find beauty in common objects and capture how they work with light and shadow to evoke a mood or tell a story.

The following free events are scheduled at the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road. Events are held in the Orchard Room unless otherwise noted. For more information, call 948-7683 or visit sccl.org/losaltos.
