City extends deadline for commissions applicants

The Los Altos City Council has extended the deadline to Friday for Los Altos residents applying for appointment to various open seats on city commissions. Commission members serve in an advisory capacity to the city council and address a variety of community needs.

The 2013 appointments expire in February 2017.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory, Environmental, Historical and Library commissions each have three openings. Parks and Recreation and Public Arts have four openings each. The Senior Commission has two openings. The Los Altos/Los Altos Hills Joint Community Volunteer Service Awards Committee has three openings.

Interviews are tentatively scheduled Tuesday.

Submit applications to the City Clerk’s Office at city hall, 1 N. San Antonio Road.
