The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View Foundation is currently accepting grant requests that meet a critical health or human care need in the city of Mountain View.
Grant awards should address the needs of children under the age of 18 or seniors 60 and over.
Grant awards must have objectives that are time-specific and measurable.
Organizations submitting grants must have a 501(c)(3) status. Proof of 501(c)(3) status with a copy of the federal tax-exempt notification letter is required when submitting a grant request.
The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View has awarded more than $1 million in grant requests in the past 10 years.
The club will consider requests for Capital Campaign projects that are consistent with its priority to provide services to low-income children, adolescents or seniors.
The deadline for submission of grant applications is Dec. 1.
Grant applications received that are postmarked after Dec. 1, or delayed beyond the deadline due to improper postage, will not be considered.
Mail applications to the Kiwanis Club of Mountain View, PO Box 607, Mountain View 94042.
Funding recommendations will be presented to the foundation trustees at the January board of directors meeting.
Grantees will be notified in writing of the grant award and the date of the award meeting.
Funds will be granted to agencies/organizations at either a January or February Kiwanis Club of Mountain View luncheon meeting (details to be announced).
Meetings are scheduled noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ristorante Don Giovanni, 235 Castro St., Mountain View.
