Whether single or part of a couple, the Bows and Beaus Square Dance Club invites dancers to another year of classes, beginning Monday at Loyola School in Los Altos.

The Bows and Beaus Square Dance Club, featuring caller/teacher Keith Ferguson, has scheduled classes for adult singles and couples 7:30-9:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning Monday, at Loyola School, 770 Berry Ave., Los Altos.

The 50-year-old club, founded in Mountain View and now located in Los Altos, sponsors an annual picnic, Ice Cream Fling Thing dance, hoedowns, festivals and themed trips and excursions.

Square dancers may wear pants, jeans, prairie skirts or nonwestern attire.

When the club first began in 1963, it was designated a “singles” club. Today, Bows and Beaus is a couples and singles club, inviting participants with or without a regular dance partner.

Participants may register and dance at the first two classes in January without charge; subsequent classes cost $5 per person.
