Living Harmony series opens Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church

The English baroque ensemble Red Priest is set to open the Living Harmony Concert Series.

Christ Episcopal Church is set to kick off its Living Harmony Concert Series with a program from the English baroque ensemble Red Priest 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1040 Border Road, Los Altos.

Other concerts will feature musicians from England, Spain and Scotland performing alongside local artists, including Spanish Brass, classical guitarist Paul Galbraith, vocal ensemble Convivium and a holiday program by harpists from the American Harp Society.

Teens to help seniors with tech at free event Saturday in Mtn. View

Tech-savvy teens described as “digital ambassadors” will offer seniors free help with their electronic devices during Senior Tech Event V.

The event is scheduled 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at The Highway Community church, 2050 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View.

Community Briefs – Week of Sept. 18

History Museum extends gadgets exhibition

The Los Altos History Museum has extended its exhibition “Gadgets Galore! Transforming the American Household” through Nov. 10.

The display highlights how gadgets from alarm clocks to coffeemakers, cellphones and cameras originated and came to play an integral role in daily life.

Corvette Spectacular returns to Los Altos Sunday

New and vintage Corvettes – such as this rare 1963 Grand Sport – are expected to line Main Street in Los Altos Sunday. The 43rd annual Corvette Spectacular will feature approximately 165 Corvettes. The event is among the largest of its kind in the region.

Santa Clara Corvettes’ 43rd annual Corvette Spectacular is scheduled 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday on Main Street in Los Altos.

Billed as one of the largest all-Corvette car shows in Northern California, the event will feature approximately 165 Corvettes and is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees.
