The Los Altos History Museum merges local history with the work of local artists in its upcoming exhibition, “Paint the Town II: Echoes of Our Past,” on display through Oct. 7.
The exhibition’s title is an homage to the first “Paint the Town” in 1999, an effort led by Town Crier publishers Paul and Liz Nyberg that featured paintings created by local artists of the shops and businesses of downtown Los Altos.

The 51st season of the Foothill College Celebrity Forum Speaker Series – launching in the fall – will feature authors, actors and a well-known comedian.
The Foothill-De Anza Community College District sponsors the series, and founder Dick Henning serves as moderator.
July’s First Friday and Club 55 are scheduled 6-8 p.m. Friday in downtown Los Altos.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. If captured by the First Friday photographer, participants will win a prize. The photographer will be wearing a First Friday cap and carrying First Friday balloons.
