LA virtual town hall set for Tuesday

Los Altos Mayor Neysa Fligor is scheduled to host a virtual town hall 4 p.m. Tuesday to gauge residents’ feedback on a range of issues.

“While the town hall is available to everyone, I want to make sure we cover issues impacting our senior community and hear from you,” she wrote in an open letter Feb. 3. “We know that there is a lot of information being shared on social media that may not be available to you or may not address your specific concerns.”

Residents may submit questions for the town hall, or independent of the event, by calling 336-5726 or emailing [email protected]

To register for the town hall, visit ringcentr.al/2Mdh3Rp.

Meeting on housing project scheduled

The second of two virtual community meetings to discuss a 90-unit, all-affordable housing project is scheduled 5 p.m. Thursday. The first one was held Jan. 27.

Los Altos city staff and representatives from the Santa Clara County Office of Supportive Housing will lead the presentation.

The Los Altos City Council agreed to a memorandum of understanding with the county on the project at its Oct. 27 meeting. The county is purchasing the former Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District property at 330 Distel Circle with 2016 Measure A housing bond funds, and would select a developer for the project.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the city of Los Altos, the local League of Women Voters branch and the Los Altos Affordable Housing Alliance.
