Painter Cecilia Mases presents “Dreamscapes,” an exhibition that runs through March 29 at Gallery 9.
The show features her colorful new works in oil and acrylic.
“Lately I have been exploring different colors and shapes of nature,” Mases said in a statement. “I have been experimenting with acrylic paint and palette knife, but also worked with different perspectives in oil. This show is a mix of different ways I see the landscapes and seascapes around us. Some are truer to nature; others are more abstract. They are all created with a love of nature.”
Two artist receptions are scheduled at the gallery, the first 5-8 p.m. Friday and the second 1-4 p.m. March 22.
Gallery 9 is located at 143 Main St., Los Altos. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Viewpoints showcases vivid watercolors
Transparent watercolorist Jan Grady is this month’s featured artist at Viewpoints Gallery.
In “New Works,” Grady’s exhibition running through March 23, the artist’s trademark luminous colors and vivid hues are on full display.
“I love the luminosity of transparent watercolors,” she said in a statement. “My current collection primarily features flowers, often highlighting light and reflections dancing off other still-life objects. I want to capture the vivid colors that attract me to these images.”
An artist reception is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday at the gallery.
