'Sale' into 2020 at First Friday around downtown Los Altos

First Friday festivities for 2020 are set to kick off 6-8 p.m. Friday in downtown Los Altos with the theme “Sale into the New Year.”

Stores will remain open late for evening shopping, and many will offer holiday sales and promotions. Bands will perform at various storefronts along Main and State streets, and Veterans Community Plaza at the corner of Main and State will feature a Kids Corner and dancing. Art galleries are scheduled to host artist receptions and open houses, and restaurants will serve First Friday dining and drink specials.

Visitors can pick up a First Friday hat and bag with a $20 donation this month. To donate, stop by Nature Gallery at 296 State St., Los Altos Community Chiropractic at 371 First St. or Veteran’s Community Plaza.

First Fridays are monthly promotional events sponsored by the nonprofit Los Altos Forward, a program of Los Altos Community Foundation. Los Altos Forward is a volunteer group dedicated to promoting vibrancy in downtown Los Altos.

First Friday organizers have scheduled a fundraiser 5-8 p.m. Jan. 26 at Nature Gallery. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased online at losaltosfirstfriday.org or at Nature Gallery, Los Altos Community Chiropractic or Los Altos Community Foundation at 183 Hillview Ave.
