December's First Friday features holiday theme

 

December’s First Friday festivities are scheduled 6-8 p.m. Friday in downtown Los Altos.

The annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony is set for 6 p.m. at Veterans Community Plaza, and Santa Claus will arrive at approximately 6:30 p.m. Local choral groups will perform, and visitors can pose with Santa in a photo booth and ride a trolley around downtown.

Twelve bands will be playing around downtown, and shops, galleries and restaurants will remain open late.

A “Shop to Win” promotion will support local merchants. Participants can shop all day Friday and email their receipts to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. For every store they shop in, chances increase to win a downtown Los Altos shopping spree.

First Fridays are monthly promotional events sponsored by the nonprofit Los Altos Forward, a program of Los Altos Community Foundation. Los Altos Forward is a volunteer group dedicated to promoting vibrancy in downtown Los Altos.
